You'd be hard-pressed to find a film as steeped in myth as C’était un Rendezvous. This astonishing, exhilarating and now legendary drive through a beautiful 70s Paris with its surprise ending has been enjoyed for many years as an almost Masonic secret among enthusiasts. Whisper the words "Have you seen Rendezvous?" and you'll receive either a knowing, "No, but I've heard it's unbelievable" or a smug, "It is un-be-lieve-able".

Filmed in 1976, the revered short film by seminal French director Claude Lelouch is regarded as the ultimate in chase scenes - the connoisseurs' trump card in response to "Bullitt" or "The French Connection".

Lack of availability has only fuelled the myths surrounding the film, but Spirit Level managed to acquire a 2nd generation VHS copy, track down director Claude Leouch, dust off the original 35mm negative, restore and re-master the original classic piece of film.

"I remember my first time. Your first time is always special. And, equally, your first time watching this film is special. I still remember watching it and being transported to a new level for 8 minutes. When I finally found it on DVD, I grabbed it immediately. Fortunately, DVDs don't wear out with repeated viewing. When you watch this on a large screen TV you'll mimic Missy above: O...M...G! "

"My nostrils are clean... I promise. I haven't done blow in decades... this film is as good. A must have for any self-respecting adrenalin junky car buff. The prize at the end isn't bad either."
